The inaugural release from Metal Fortress is an interesting digi MCD from Italy's Rising Moon. What will come as a surprise to many readers is how the band has two full lengths already to its name. The Underground Review has repeatedly questioned the worth of labels who have no promotion, no tour support and no distribution. Things should pick up for RM though. The current MCD features a band with a mix of riff-oriented and slashing death metal (Brutal Katanic(a) ) and Edge Of Sanity style doom/death (Roswell File) and is already gearing up for a third full length for the winter of 2002.
