According to the band website Pukelization means ‘civilization of puke.’ Well, that seems like a meaty concept and Hayato Kida delivers with guitar play that’s a mish mash of brutality via dynamic rhythmic moments and technicality with linear violently melodic notes. The six-string effort is choppy with sonically layered harmonies cascading off the fretboard like vomit bursting from a fat kids guts. In this way, guitars play out in a narrative form of melodies freefalling in multiflorous eddies to form a complex abstract not easily discerned at first hearing. But what is cool is that listening to the guitar play isn’t as hard to enjoy as reading a textbook, in that tempo shifts and killer riffs always zigzag in entertaining headbanging partying. Complimenting the guitars is an energetic rhythm section. Drums mirror guitars in measure and technicality, but every now and again they spin off into their own rhythmic realm. Cymbals shimmy and shake with double kick applied via great footwork. Bass is relatively lost n the mix, but it’s presence is felt enough to give the album enough meat to make a porn star envious.

'Storm of Resurrection' is an extremely solid LP. I definitely recommend this album on the basis of the music. Check out Pukelization!!!!
