Midgard is a melodic death metal band from Austria and with this Born From Ashes they release their 4th demo. Recorded by the vocalist it gives a suprisingly good sound. The songs are played in up tempo with breaks and bridges. The main vocals are growling and grunting and back up with a clean singer. Midgard is not only putting melodies in the songs and remain powerful and sometimes aggressive but also have groovy choruslines that reminds at some power metal. Listen to "In My Darkest Hour" and you get the sense. After listening this album a few times I really began to like it. Power, aggression, melody, groove are some keywords but you have to listen to it yourself!! - Brutalism
