Biography:
MANIPULATED SLAVES was created in 1994 by Yutaka (ex-DASREICH) and his company from Osaka, Japan. In the following year, after the line up being fixed, they recorded the 1st demo, and then the 2nd demo, "Manipulated Slaves". This 2nd demo was introduced and appreciated by zines in Japan, and as a result, more than 500 copies were sold. In 1996, the current bass player, Shiro joined. They frequently played on stage, and their live performance fascinated every metalhead who attended the gig. During their continuous live activities, in 1997, released the 3rd demo, "Burst Into Blue Flame", and all prepared 1000 copies had gone very soon. In 1999, after 2 years from the release of the last demo, their 4th demo "Seventh Island" was unveiled. Soon after this release, changed their line up again. The current guitar player, Kazushi (ex-SLEEZY WIZARD), joined as a permanent member, and Mitsuhiro (now SHADOW) sat in the drum kit as a helpmember. With this new line up, they played as supporting act for Japanese tours of TANKARD, MARDUK, ARCH ENEMY, and WITCHERY. In 2000, they participated in a compilation album called "Survive List 2" released by Survive Records (Jap), with one of their masterpieces, "The Man In Black". In the spring of the same year, M.S. signed to WORLDCHAOS PRODUCTION, and finally released the long anticipated debut album "Burst Into Blue Flame" (KDM-002) as the second output of this newly-founded label. This debut album was reviewed and highly applauded by many fanzines and commercial magazines in the world. Following this release, M.S. crossed the sea and toured in Korea with BLASDEAD, SAD LEGEND, and OATHEAN, then after coming back home played as opening act of GOD DETHRONED"s tour in Japan. In the summer, the current drummer of M.S., Takayoshi (ex-DAZZLE) got the position as full-time. In the autumn of the same year, they again participated in a compilation album titled "The Red Hot Burning Hell" released by LIGHTS OUT RECORDS (Jap), and submitted 2 songs, "Man From The Horizon" and "Bearing The Final Pain ". However, since They were considering reinforcing the vocal part, they decided to have another vocalist in the band. Thus, in the beginning of year 2001, Hisayoshi (ex-ROSEN FIELD, AION, BUZZ DEVIL) joined. By the best line up ever in their band history, They are finally going to release this long awaited 2nd album, "The Legendary Black Jade" (KDM-006) from WORLDCHAOS PRODUCTION in August 2001 . The 2nd album is basically in the same vein of their debut album, however, the new output is a high quality album in which each element of songs, melodies, and guitar harmonies is well elaborated. Also, joining of another vocalist has contributed toamplify their brutality. The production was done by "Bat & Tery", a unit featuring two members from Onmyo-za. Other than them, two female musicians help the recording of this album. Yuko (FATIMA HILL) and Saeko (EX-FAIRY MIRROR) participate in the vocal part, and Maya (THREAT) plays the violin. "The Legendary Black Jade" definitely will be d a milestone of Japanese Melodic Death/Thrash Metal scene.
