The music on "The Flame of Eternity’s Decline" is like a mixture of Nokturnal Mortum and Astrofaes, which isn’t that surprising when you look at the line-up. This means: atmospheric Slavonic black metal. The Nokturnal Mortum album I’d compare this to the most is "Weltanschauung" and the Astrofaes album closest to this would perhaps be "Ancestors’ Shadows"(minus the acoustic guitars). If you like the aforementioned two albums "The Flame of Eternity’s Decline" will be of interest to you. However, Khors do not use any folk instruments (e.g. flutes or violins) like Nokturnal Mortum did on "Weltanschauung". Here only synth is used for atmosphere.... Most of the time the tracks are mid-paced but "Eyes of Eternal Lonelyness" and "Trees are Remembers..." contain fast parts as well. In the middle of the album there is a beautiful and serene folk/ambient instrumental in the form of "Breath". The production on this album is good, better than on any Nokturnal Mortum or Astrofaes release I’ve heard so far. For example, the guitars are heavier than on any Nokturnal Mortum album, so when you listen to this you get an idea what Nokturnal Mortum would sound like with heavier guitars (and that would be "excellent" in case you wondered)... [khors] deserves to be checked out by all fans of atmospheric black metal the Ukrainian way...
