Biography:

Barzak was formed in the year 2003, sometime around June-July. Upon its birth, the band was named "AZAZEL" by the members. Although, the first few months of this band were frustrating, they continued jamming some songs by Black Sabbath and Old Sepultura. Barzak, at its preliminary stage faced lineup inefficiency. The band found a palpable lineup in the early 2004 (around January). Initially, the band tried some experimental single releases, blending 80’s heavy metal and thrash/death metal elements. They recorded their 1st demo single in April 2004 titled "Judhou Shanti Chaay". The second single was titled as "Imaan" which is when the band found a new name "BARZAKH". The song "Malakul-Maut", dedicated to the Angel of Death was the last single the band released in that year. At that time Barzakh was: Naushad (Saad)-Guitars, Amit-Vocals/ Guitars/ Bass, Rana-Drums. For axeman Naushad (Saad) quitting the band became necessary, and he left the country for higher studies. This was a wearisome era for the remaining members. Subsequently, Barzakh went to a long hibernation, almost to a state of non-existence. For about ten months the band had no activities. The revivification of the band took place in the middle of the year 2005, when the vocal & guitarist Amit and the battery Rana took initiatives to hire a permanent bassman and reform the band. That’s when Rony joined. At this time (around July) they started working on some new tracks. After two and a half months of continuous rehearsals they released the debut Demo tape titled "Opocheshta" in September under the new and ultimate name "BARZAK" which was recorded at BD Sounds, Dhaka during a rehearsal session. This was a self release and was limited to only 17 copies. The demo consisted of four rehearsal and raw versions of songs. Barzak released their debut Album (full-length) titled "Qabiluhu" in 12th August 2006, consisting 9 tracks including the unreleased demo tape "Narabali". That was recorded in 2005-2006 at Sound Machine Studio and Art of Noise Studio, Dhaka Bangladesh. This album was re-released by Sacramental Records, Brazil on 5th February 2007, limited to 100 copies which were distributed via Nihilistic Music: Distribution and Production, Brazil. Up until now all the songs are released in their native language Bengali, but, in future the band plans to release every song in English. At present, Barzak is a trio and wills to be it as long as the Mighty Hell can bear. Barzak only focuses on preaching hatred through its own compositions as a prelude to the upcoming dissolution of the illusory earth. The dramatic intoxication of the tempter demiurge is forever bestowed upon feeble minded humans. Dancing upon the carcasses of ignorant hyles, Barzak ties itself with the ever devouring forces of death & destruction for the manifestation of impure hatred and spiritual detachments from the hyles. Therefore, Barzak hails the esoteric spiritualism of the reverse current and the burning path of self-becoming!!
